This multi-project development of ESR’s Mount Albert campus involved a new forensic services complex and the refurbishment of their existing, 3-storey building.
Both buildings have a variety of laboratories throughout. The new building is a simple structure using pre-finished metal roofing draped in a gentle curve. Its 750m2 interior is light and bright with warm, soft colours on the walls and furnishings. The new building links to the existing building via a lightweight bridge structure.
The secure facility houses a forensic services centre, drug & food analytical laboratory and public health laboratory complex across multiple levels. This is one of ESR’s primary facilities.
